VoIP phone problems

If you have a problem with the VoIP phone, the only thing you should do is unplug the power cable, wait one minute and plug it in. It should restart and work correctly. Do not try the menu of the phone itself, you very easily remove the settings of the phone and you will never get it to work.

Update your computer

There are sometimes computers on the network infected with viruses, worms or trojans. The University or SSHU will disconnect your computer from the Internet if that occurs.
It can take a long time before you are reconnected after the problem has been solved. And because most of you have a have a computer that uses Microsoft Windows as an operating system you will find a the location of a site on this page, where you can find information about how to protect your computer.
You should have a anti virus program which is updated regularly (at least once a week or automaticly) Use Windows update and install always the essential updates.
Use a firewall. Windows XP has a build in firewall which should be turned on.

Look at this site for more information.
